Dances for Solidarity: Paid Internship

Dances for Solidarity is seeking a paid Communications intern to start immediately.

Dances for Solidarity is an ongoing project by dance artist Sarah Dahnke that involves inviting people in long-term solitary confinement to do a dance sequence via written correspondence, creating solidarity in the fact that many people in the same situation could potentially be doing this dance at the same time. You can learn a little more on Facebook: Facebook.com/dancesforsolidarity

An intern is needed to help maintain communication across social media, distribute promotional materials, update blog, document events and generally assist with communication-related matters. Experience with or an interest in the following are helpful: graphic design/web design, Photoshop, Illustrator, photography, video, video editing. We are not seeking a unicorn but possibly someone who strives to be a unicorn in the future.

Initially we are seeking a committment of approximately 4 hours per week, paid hourly. This committment could increase as the project moves forward. College credit is also available to interns who are also current students requiring internship credit.

Interested candidates should email Sarah at sarah (at) sarahdahnke.com with letter of interest and resume.
