Teaching Positions in Music, Flamenco and Afro-Caribbean Dance

 

Ballet des Amériques, a pre-professional ballet conservatory located in Port Chester, New York, is looking for talented teachers in the following subjects:

Music
Flamenco
Afro-Caribbean Dance

We are looking for experts with great pedagogical skills, a profound knowledge of their subject, and a passion for teaching, who are interested in teaching talented and dedicated students in a conservatory setting. As we teach an integrated pre-professional curriculum at our school, teachers must coordinate their lesson plans with our director and share our commitment to training and educating our students to become professional dancers.

All classes are taught on our premises at 16 King St., Port Chester, NY 10573, which are conveniently located next to the Metro North Rail platform on the New Haven line, approximately 40 to 50 minutes from Grand Central Terminal.

Under the direction of Carole Alexis, Ballet des Amériques School & Company combines ballet training, dance education and performance. Students of the School receive intensive training in classical ballet, in modern and in contemporary dance as well as a well-rounded dance education (with classes in music, dance history, anatomy, Flamenco, Afro-Carribean dance) in a comprehensive and integrated curriculum-based pre-professional program. The professional dancers of the Company of Ballet des Amériques perform original choreographies throughout the greater New York City area and increasingly throughout the world.
