Seeking (more) dancers for immersive, devised dance-theater piece on Governors Island

The Woolgatherers Theater Group

The Woolgatherers Theater Group seeks dancers and actors (particularly male-identifying and POC), preferably with a devising background, for Genesis 22, an non-religious site-specific re-telling of the story of Abraham and Isaac. Seven different versions of the story, each crafted by a different director/choreographer working with 2-4 performers, interweave to tell this controversial tale of faith and sacrifice.

Comfort with partnering and improvisation is a must. Experience with immersive, interactive, and or/devised performance is preferred. People of color, queer and trans people, and women all strongly encouraged to apply. Please include headshot and cover letter specifying availability for audition dates and times with submission.

Produced by: Sarah Corbyn Woolf and Grace Herman-Holland

Directed by: Nick Auer, Sadah Espii Proctor, Lauren French, Grace Herman-Holland, Kirsten Peacock, Caedra Scott-Flaherty.
