Media Arts & Dance: DanceAction is looking for interns for Multimedia Performance

DanceAction BLINDSPOT Stephen Delas Heras

DanceAction is a contemporary dance company based in New York, led by Argentinian artist Carmen Caceres. We are currently looking for interns to assist with media and tech during the performances of our last project BLINDSPOT on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 8 pm.

BLINDSPOT is an immersive dance and multimedia performance inspired by George Orwell's novel "1984." This is a unique opportunity to be part of an immersive experience and also to learn more about the interaction between media arts, technology, and dance for a contemporary performance project.

Interns can assist in any of the following areas:
- Live Video Streaming Assistant: Set live feed video equipment for the performance, test cameras, and ensure proper functioning of equipment during the event.

- Video Projections Assistant: Set video projector for the performance, test projector, and ensure proper functioning of equipment during the event.

Dates of engagement: Company Rehearsal on 3/20 from 6 to 9 pm or on 3/27 from 6 to 9 pm, Tech rehearsal on 4/2 from 7:30 to 9:30 pm and performances on 4/3 & 4/4/2020 from 6 to 10 pm.

*Because of the nature of this opportunity, interns should attend a company rehearsal prior to the performance in order to learn how to use the technical equipment properly.

Interns will receive modest compensation for their participation.

If you are interested in participating in this opportunity, please email me at carmencaceresdance@gmail.com.
