Female Dancers/Actors for Leads in Short Film

YOU LEFT ME ALONE
When Erica discovers that her younger sister Marina has attempted suicide, she returns home to comfort or confront her, and must reckon with the troubled childhood she tried to leave behind. You Left Me Alone uses movement, dance, and surreal spaces to portray the profound bond between two siblings, and the power of childhood magic to comfort and protect us into adulthood. Director's thesis film for Columbia University MFA degree.

Casting two roles:
ERICA (24) - World-weary, hiding from her trauma in a haze of sex, drugs, and alcohol. Guilty that she got away, angry at her sister for never leaving. Athletic dancer.

MARINA (22) - Born with a target on her back, through no fault of her own. Rage at her sister for leaving, rage at the world turned inward. Crippling depression and anxiety, though she often seems completely unemotional. Athletic dancer.

Timing
Rehearsals over the summer. Shoot will be 5 days in early September in NYC and on Long Island.
