Dance Teaching Artists - Prek After-School Thursdays & Fridays

 

Notes in Motion Outreach Dance Theatre is seeking experienced Dance Teaching Artists for our Prek After-School Program in the East Village on Thursday and Friday afternoons (2:30-5:45 pm) as well as ongoing dance and movement residencies and after-school programs in the NYC Public Schools. These are paid teaching opportunities to inspire young people with dance in underserved schools throughout the five boroughs of NYC.

Qualified candidates should have experience in a variety of dance forms including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, ballroom, hip hop, African, and/or creative dance training as well as a background in performance, improvisation, and choreography. experience teaching in NYC public schools (or similar settings) pre-K and/or elementary school populations. Experience teaching theater, yoga, martial arts, and/or gymnastics also A PLUS! Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese a plus as well.

LESSON PLAN should be a creative dance (in any dance style) teaching lesson plan (a 50-minute session approximately) that could be appropriate for PreK.
