ALDEN MOVES Dance Theater seeks male and female identifying ballet dancers for soloist roles in our annual Nutcracker, which will be streamed for a virtual audience at the end of January. Clean lines and professional level technique a must. Weekly attendance of our Friday, 10:30am Company Class between now and the show is required. Strong pointe work for women a signigicant plus.

Commitment: Approx 6hrs of individual rehearsal to be scheduled at a mutually convenient time; 4-5hr Saturday afternoon Blocking rehearsal 2 weeks prior to the show, 4-5hr Saturday afternoon Run-Through Rehearsal 1 week before the show, 4-5hr block on the performance day. Performance anticipated to be Saturday, Jan 29, but dancers must be able to hold availability around this date in case of a COVID or snow related date change. 

SPECIAL NOTES: Dancers must be vaccinated in order to apply and perform. We are unable to consider dancers who can not be available for all Saturday afternoon rehearsals in full. Approx rehearsals times these days will be 1:30-6:30pm. Dancers must enjoy working with kids.

Select applicants will be invited to attend our weekly company class in place of a traditiional audition.
