STAYCEE PEARL dance project & Soy Sos is seeking 1-2 highly-skilled dancers for our upcoming project.

Contracts include training and rehearsals in Pittsburgh, PA, performances nationally, and teaching locally. Compensation information will be discussed upon invitation to the next stage of the audition process.

Please review the audition timeline and follow the directions below to complete your audition. This particular project centers the experiences of Black women. While Black femme-identifying dance artists are strongly encouraged to apply, all identities are welcome.

Audition Timeline:

Monday, October 17, 2022: Video audition deadline.

Monday, October 24, 2022: Invited dancers will be notified of online interview

Monday, October 24-Monday, October 31, 2022: Online Interviews with SPdp executive leadership

Monday, November 7, 2022: Contract start date on-ground in Pittsburgh, PA

Audition Process:
1. Fill out an audition form. Please note, this is also where you will be submitting the links to your audition video.

2. Complete the following audition videos and upload to YouTube or Vimeo in 3 separate videos by section (one video for the requested repertory material; one video for the Ballet/Contemporary material; and one video for the improvisational material).

Part 1: Repertory to Learn - Full Video

Part 2: Ballet/Contemporary Technique Video (30 seconds minimum)
Please send at least a 30 second video showcasing your Ballet and/or your Contemporary technique.

Part 3: Improvisation Video (1 minute)
Please send a 1 minute video showcasing your improvisational skills/natural style of movement.

3. Interview notifications will be sent out to invited dancers by Monday, October 24, 2022.
