What is Garet&Co?

Garet&Co is a project-based contemporary dance company based in Northwest Connecticut, led by choreographer, dancer and teacher: Garet Wierdsma.

Garet&Co performs across the Northeast U.S., most often in NYC, and is keen to continue reaching new audiences.

We strive to create art that comes from a place of truth; work that is both guttural and beautiful. Garet&Co's pieces often deal with themes of struggling mental health and the search for peace within chaos. We believes that art changes the world, and we are passionately and actively working to be generators of light.

Who are we looking for?

Garet&Co is holding an audition to select our roster of dancers for our third season, 2023-2024. All dancers must have advanced professional training in both contemporary/modern and ballet. 

We are searching for both Professional Members and Student Members.

Professional Members are 18+ professional dancers. All Pro Members are paid for their professional work with Garet&Co.

Student Members are 14-18 year old high school students who are planning to pursue dance in the future. Student Members are put on a 100% scholarship with Garet&Co, and receive training and performance opportunities completely free of charge.
