Hello Wonderful Dancers and Actors!

The Hole Story is a cabaret performance night where we share and celebrate the power and intricacies of childbirth.  We've got a crew of performers doing hilarious comedy routines, beautiful meaningful dances, acting sketches and sharing wisdom from physicians, midwives, nurses and doulas.  This opportunity is an offering to hand down knowledge to the next generation about their options in childbirth in an entertaining way!

It'll be weird.  It'll be cool.  It'll be hilarious. It'll be powerful.

We want you to join us!

Who we are looking for:
1. A host for the evening - you're ideally funny, captivating, charismatic, and unexpected (we've got stand-up comics like Ali Wong and Amy Schumer in mind, but are most interested in your original/unique approach)

2. Four dancers - you've got great contemporary dance technique, you're an imaginative improviser, you've got actor level stage presence

Experience in childbirth a plus but not necessary!  We are open to any kind of person from any background - the main requirement is having the talent we need and caring about the topic.

Rehearsals:  Likely 3 hours during the week and 3 hours on the weekends (we'll craft it around the availability of the performers we choose)

Performances: March 13, 14, 15 at 9:30pm at The Tank in Manhattan

Compensation:  Unpaid - we're a large cast, making something that we hope serves the community.  The intention is to invite producers to this initial performance to then create a more final version in the future with proper compensation from their backing.

Submit:  Please email holestorycabaret@gmail.com with your name, whether you'd like to be considered for the host or dancer role, and include a video of you performing something that shows your relevant skills.  We will review your submissions as they come in, and hope to decide on casting by Thur Feb 6 to potentially start rehearsing as early as Sun Feb 9.  Please also include your general availability from Feb 9th through March 15th.
