Share The Movement is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing diversity in the professional dance world by providing finanical, inspirational, and educational support to young BIPOC dancers. We empower young BIPOC dancers through scholarships, mentorship programs, and free community dance days. We are passionate about creating opportunities that break barriers and foster inclusivity in the world of dance.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the arts, experience in nonprofit grant writing, and a proven track record of securing funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities. This role is instrumental in helping Share The Movement expand its programs and increase its impact on the dance community.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and identify potential grant opportunities aligned with Share The Movement’s mission and programs.
Write compelling and tailored grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and applications.
Develop and manage a calendar of grant deadlines and submissions.
Maintain and build relationships with current and prospective funders.
Collaborate with the team to gather necessary data, budgets, and supporting materials.
Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including timely submission of reports.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in grant writing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with issues affecting BIPOC communities and/or the arts sector is a plus.
Proficiency in research tools and grant databases.

Compensation:

$750 a month
