The New York City Arts Coalition

The New York City Arts Coalition is a sixteen year old citywide membership network of arts professionals, arts organizations and arts supporters organized for education, advocacy and public policy development on behalf of the nonprofit arts and cultural sector. Members of the Coalition include major museums, alternative spaces, presenting organizations, service groups, borough arts councils, performing arts groups, and members of the public. Membership is open to all nonprofit arts groups, arts professionals, students and individual supporters of the arts.

American Arts Alliance

Established in 1977, the American Arts Alliance is a nationwide consortium of nonprofit performing, presenting and exhibiting arts organizations. The mission of the Alliance is to be the principal advocate for America's professional nonprofit arts organizations and their publics in representing arts interests and advancing arts support before Congress and other branches of the federal government. To achieve this mission, the Alliance informs legislators and policy makers of the vital role of the arts in American society, and advocates the development of national policies which recognize, enhance and foster the contributions that the arts make to America. Member organizations include the Association of Art Museum Directors, the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, Dance/USA, OPERA America, and Theatre Communications Group.

The Alliance of New York State Arts Organizations

This recently updated website is a great resource for cultural advocacy in New York State. Publications are downloadable.
