The United Palace of Cultural Arts (UPCA) is a new place for dance rehearsals, workshops, residencies and performances in Manhattan. A former Loews movie palace, it is now a cultural arts center that is looking to support the full range of dance.

UPCA invited Dance/NYC constituents for a site visit on Tuesday, September 24. The visit was hosted by UPCA board member and dance advisor, Jana La Sorte, who is also on the advisory board of Dance/NYC, and by UPCA dance advisors Sita Frederick and Amy Kail in addition to UPCA's Executive Director Mike Fitelson.

UPCA is planning a dance festival on November 23. Participants will learn about this event and all else and can discuss opportunities they wish to pursue at the Palace. Read more in the The New York Times.

Please visit UPCA's website for further information and directions.
