Graphic Designer, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

 
One of the world’s leading dance companies is seeking a self-motivated, well-organized and personable team player for the position of Graphic Designer. 
 
As part of the External Affairs Department, this position will work on projects for all parts of the Ailey organization, including its two performing companies (Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Ailey II), The Ailey School, The Ailey Extension and Ailey’s Arts In Education and Community Programs.  
 
This position will provide design and production services for print & online advertising and collateral material such as brochures, invitations, postcards, signage, etc. (S)he will also work closely with the Associate Director of Electronic Marketing on the visual aspects of the company’s website and email communications. (S)he should also be able to retouch photographic images.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to multi-task, with a strong attention to detail.Expertise with current design applications such as Adobe Creative Suite. 
(Experience with Quark may be substituted for InDesign).
Thorough technical understanding of printing methods and print production. Knowledge of the dance world and/or Ailey is a plus
