AUDITIONS FOR FEMALE DANCERS

 
Undertoe Dance Project - a tap and jazz fusion company based in NYC - is seeking female tap and female jazz dancers for our 3rd season.
 
Auditions will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010.

11 am - Female Rhythm Tap Dancers with a great sense of musicality and timing who have some experience in contemporary dance forms such as modern and/or jazz.  Please wear nice rehearsal attire that exposes your ankles and flat tap oxfords.  Please bring your headshot and resume.
 
1 pm – Female Jazz Dancers with a great sense of musicality and timing who have a strong ballet foundation.  Please wear form-fitting dance wear and be prepared to dance barefoot.  Please bring your headshot and resume.

Audition will be held at Flamenco Vivo Studios at 4 West 43rd Street, 8th Floor, NYC.  Take the elevator to the 7th floor for changing rooms/restrooms and walk up 1 flight to the studio.  The studio is between 5th & 6th Avenues on the south side of the street and is accessible by subway: B/D/F/M/7 trains at 5th Avenue - 42nd Street; 4/5/6 trains at Grand Central; or N/Q/R/1/2/3 trains at Times Square. 
 
Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 10 am – 12 pm.
Rehearsals begin the following week.  There is currently no pay for rehearsals but there may be performance stipends available, depending on the venue.  Tap Dancers must be available Mondays from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm and Wednesdays from 10 am – 12 pm.  Jazz Dancers must be available Mondays from 12:45 pm – 4 pm and Wednesdays from 10 am – 12 pm.
 
You are not required to be both a tap dancer and a jazz dancer to be part of the company.  If you are, that is fantastic!  Please stay for the full audition. Otherwise, please come to the style for which you’d like to be considered.
