Audition for three upcoming projects

 

Thursday, January 13, 2011 @ 1 p.m.

NY City Center, Studio 4 (fourth floor)

130 West 56th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues, New York City

 

 

BMDP is looking for men and women dancers who are reliable, learn movement very quickly, work well with others in an ensemble, have strong modern and ballet technique, and can partner well.  We do not ask dancers to improvise, choreograph, speak on stage, or act. Between February 14 and June 16, 2011, we have approximately seven weeks of part-time rehearsal and three engagements.  BMDP pays dancers as employees for all rehearsals and performances—except for the ones pertaining to the March 16 engagement.  Dancers must be U.S. citizens or otherwise legally permitted to work in the U.S.

Tentative rehearsal schedule (most rehearsals will last four hours, weekday afternoons):

February 21-25

February 28-March 4

March 7-11

March 14-16

March 28-April 1

May 31-June 10

 

Performance engagements:

March 16: Museum of Art & Design, NYC

April 7: Indiana University of Pennsylvania

June 16-19: Dance Theater Workshop (New York Live Arts)
