NORTHWEST DANCE PROJECT - LAUNCH AUDITION

 

 

 

Northwest Dance Project has company positions for 2011-12 season.

LAUNCH serves as an audition process for NWDP company positions. All interested dancers should apply.
Our sixth installment of LAUNCH is designed for the professional dancer (18+) seeking opportunities to see and be seen. Selected dancers will work for two intensive weeks alongside leading Artistic Directors and two selected emerging choreographers on movement exploration, improvisation and choreographic mastery. LAUNCH is a unique way for dancers to see and be seen while increasing their ability to perform dynamic works of contrasting styles and making crucial professional connections.

Northwest Dance Project based in Portland, OR has established itself as a bold and innovative contemporary ballet company performing an all-original repertorie from an eclectic roster of accomplished choreographers with 100 new creations premiered to date. Our current repertoire includes original works from Sarah Slipper, Aszure Barton, Wen Wei Wang, James Canfield, Lucas Crandall, Andrea Miller, Alejandro Cerrudo, Luca Veggetti, Benoit-Swan Pouffer, Maurice Causey, Edgar Zendejas and Cayetano Soto.

 

2011-2012: New works from Didy Veldman, Patrick Delcroix, Sarah Slipper, Wen Wei Wang, Lucas Crandall, Ihsan Rustem, André Mesquita, Kristen Cere, Francois Chirpaz,  and others.

We are looking for dancers with a strong classical and contemporary background and with professional performance experience.
