The Hoover Dam Collective Seeks Dancers and Choreographers to perform/ show work at upcoming shows

The Hoover Dam Collective seeks artists to perform or show work in upcoming shows. We are open to any kind of work, but are particularly interested in work that engages several different artistic disciplines. We are currently looking for performers for our residency at the Launchpad on Franklin avenue, which takes place the first Saturday of every month. The upcoming residency show is Saturday, July 2nd. We will also be having a larger show sometime in August (date not decided yet), and are looking for performers for that as well. Past shows have included a wide variety of dance and music performances, as well as some theater, comedy, and film. We are very open to whatever you have to offer.

The Hoover Dam Collective is a group of young artists based in Brooklyn, NY, who are particularly interested in making work that crosses the boundaries of specific disciplines. The group was founded in 2009 by a group of dynamic individuals from the world renowned arts conservatories at State University of New York at Purchase College, and has expanded to include artists all around New York City. The HDC produces collaborative arts events in and around the city which are site specific to each venue. We hope to expose art to new audiences and to break down the barrier between spectator and performer. We are a really fun, laid-back group of people, and our shows reflect that.

If interested, please contact Theo at hooverdamcollective@gmail.com. Please describe the work that you would like to present-videos are always very helpful if you have them. For more information on the HDC, including videos and photos from past performances, check out our blog:
