Dancers and choreographers wanted for Long Island Dance Project’s 2011/2012 Fall and Spring Season. We are a new eclectic modern dance company based on Long Island. LIDP utilizes modern, ballet and jazz techniques to create a unique and fresh contemporary style. Our faculty and choreographers are professionals working in NYC and Long Island School of the Arts alumni.
Rehearsals on Saturdays are in Garden City, NY - easily accessible by train (no car necessary) and will culminate in a May 2012 show at Adelphi Olmsted Theater. We also offer affordable weekly technique classes to all company members. LIDP works to unite the dance community in New York and create a positive atmosphere for dancers to grow, excel and network within the field. Choreographic opportunities and performance stipends are available. All ages are welcome to audition.
