Vox Dance Theatre seeks experienced professional female modern dancers for domestic and international touring. All ages, ethnicities. A strong stage presence and impeccable musicality are required. Training in classical modern dance techniques helpful. Please arrive ready to dance.
Auditionees: RSVP requested to sarahvox@earthlink.net with CV/resume and recent photo.
Performance pay ranges from $100 per performance to $500 per week or more, depending on engagement. There is currently no rehearsal stipend, but there may be in future. Apprentices may be considered. Must be able to commit to the current rehearsal schedule of Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 9:30, and Tuesdays from 8 to 10 PM. Additional rehearsals may be held on Thursday evenings from 8 - 10 PM, and other days as needed, as well as for additional rehearsals immediately prior to all performances and touring. Current rehearsal schedule includes the development of new work and maintenance of the touring repertoire.
Rehearsals commence Tuesday evening January 31st at 8 PM at the Gallery Studio at JACCC (audition location).
L.A.'s all-female Vox Dance Theatre is in its eighth year of creating and performing unique works of classical modern dance and dance theatre, locally, nationally and internationally, and is a member of the Gallery Roster at Pentacle.org in New York City.
