Male partner

 Looking for male dance partner. I am preparing a project for my thesis at NYU for which I would like to prepare a duo piece that explores presentation and participation in dance.<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> Normal 0 0 1 185 1058 獫票楧栮捯洀鉭曮㞱Û뜰⠲쎔딁烊皭〼፥ᙼ䕸忤઱ 8 2 1299 11.1282 </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> 0 0 0 </xml><![endif]--><!--StartFragment-->

I am looking for a partner that knows how to lead in social dances, ideally Tango (which is my background) and that has an approach that is experimental and based on improvisation. Other than this I’m open to any style or training. My other training/practice is in House dance, which I’ve been doing for over four years in NYC.

This is a creative process, in which I’m looking to explore by means of improvisation. It is not a paid gig, and it is for somebody that is equally inspired by this process;) Rehearsal will most likely be at night, though there is flexibility.

A bit about myself: I’m a 29 y/o female originally from Montreal, I have mainly trained in social and urban dances, I’ve travelled a lot for dance, and my thesis is on vernacular dance and its presentation.

If interested please send me an email describing your dance practice, background, and creative motivation for your practice. Attach your resume if this helps to describe your process. And please tell me a bit about yourself and what draws you to this project.

Feel free to contact me if you have any question!
