Call for Artists: 3rd Annual Suite Summer Festival

 
In-Sight Dance Company is proud to present the 3rd Annual Suite Summer Festival.

We are looking for 20 dance companies/artists to perform alongside In-Sight Dance Company as a part of the 2012 Suite Summer Festival. The festival will have 2 distinct programs and will be presented the first weekend in August. This year’s festival will take place at the Secret Theatre in Long Island City.

The goal of the Suite Summer Festival is to bring a diverse array of high quality dance to our Queens community while providing free performance opportunities for dance companies and artists.

This is a FREE opportunity to present your work to new audiences. There are NO application fees and NO production fees.

**This process is designed to be easy and dance artist friendly, if you have any questions, please e-mail us!**

Guidelines

In-Sight Dance Company is interested in submissions in all genres of dance and movement based art.

- All interested artists must submit an application.

-Pieces should be no longer than 6 minutes in length. Solos should be no longer than 3 minutes in length. (Please note, we may ask you to shorten or lengthen your piece.)

- Artists/Companies may submit multiple applications but only one piece can be presented.

- Multiple days of performance required.*

- DEADLINE : MONDAY, JUNE 11thby 11:59pm

Performance Details

- Performance dates: August 2, 3, 4, 5

- Venue:Secret Theatre, 4402 23rd St, Long Island City, NYC 11101

- Performance Area: Approx. 40’wide by 17’ deep

- Lighting: Minimal Lighting. Washes only.

- Required Tech: Between 6pm and 11pm on Monday, July 30 OR Tuesday, July 31 OR Wednesday, August 1*

- Past participants include Joe Celej, DeMa Dance Company, Neville Dance Theatre, Liu I-Ling, Robyn Mann, Adams Dance Company and Piece of Modern.
