Dance Company Assistant

The Ya'el Tap Dance Company is a small and growing performance group that performs pieces of choreography based upon Jewish prayer, culture, lifestyle, and history. We have participated in the American Tap Dance Foundation New Choreographers Showcase, Spoke the Hub local performances, and we just produced our fourth show featuring our new
pieces, as well as old pieces.

We are currently looking for an assistant to the Director/Choreographer, Julie Rubin, to assist in
publicity, marketing, and administrative duties. Ya'el Tap is looking to grow, expand our audience base, and gain exposure in both the dance community and the Jewish community.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Updating our facebook page and website
- Seeking out and applying for gigs
- Publicizing in relevant publications/venues.

At this point there is no financial compensation, however; the Director brings in a different master teacher monthly to teach a tap class to the company members. If interested, the assistant may
participate in the class for free. There is opportunity for financial compensation in the future, should the
director see positive results due to the success of the assistant's tasks.

We will consider bringing in two assistants in order to split the responsibilities.

Qualifications:
- An interest in dance and/or Jewish culture is
preferred, but not required
- Previous administrative experience with an arts organization preferred, but not required

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the administrative side of running a dance company.

Please feel free to check out our website for more information by visiting:
www.julie-rubin.com and clicking on the link to "Ya'el Tap Dance Company."

If interested, please send your resume to the director (Julie Rubin) at julierubin79@gmail.com.
