Deadline extended: Between the Seas Festival

 

Due to continued interest by artists, Between the Seas Festival of Mediterranean Performing Arts has decided to extend the application deadline to February 11th 2013. We welcome performance submissions in the fields of theater, dance and music by artists of the Mediterranean and Mediterranean diaspora and we'll be considering fully realized works, adaptations and works in progress. Festival dates: July 22-28th 2013
Festival location: The Wild Project (East 3rd street, Manhattan)

About the festival: Now entering its 3rd year, Between the Seas is a unique event in NYC that offers the space for Mediterranean artists to show their work, exchange practices and ideas and explore the different facets and aesthetics of Mediterranean identity (ies). Past artists have included Noa Dar, Ido Tadmor, Enzo Celli, Korhan Basaran, Balletto Teatro di Sardegna, Elias Aguirre, Tami Stronach, and more. So far over 20 artists from Greece, Lebanon, Egypt, Israel, Spain, Italy, USA and more, have been represented in new and revived works, US and NY premieres.
