WORK/STUDY POSITIONS AVAILABLE
The Mark Morris Dance Group is seeking Work/Study applicants to assist with the duties of the Front Desk and The Store at The Mark Morris Dance Center.
The Work/Study position is essential to the Mark Morris Dance Group and our ability to welcome and assist the many visitors of the Center. As a W/S student, you serve as the first point of contact for Dance Center visitors. Serving over 1,800 patrons each week, front-line customer service for a vibrant, bustling Dance Center is at the core of this position.

Responsibilities
Welcome and orient visitors.Provide excellent customer service to all patrons of the Dance CenterProcess sales for adult class sign inSell merchandise and dancewear in The MMDG Store at the Mark Morris Dance CenterAssist in additional tasks as needed by the Front Desk and School staff
Qualifications
Reliability in regards to attendance and timelinessWillingness to learn and use Point of Sale softwareWork with people of all ages, from toddlers to seniorsAbility to act with diplomacy and patience in a busy environment Polished, polite, and friendly mannerGeneral knowledge of Microsoft Word and general computer processes
Schedule
12 week commitment, once per week

The Dance Center
At the heart of the Mark Morris Dance Center are seven column-free studios with wood-sprung floors and spacious dressing rooms with lockers and showers. Primarily used by the company and school, the seven studios which range in size from 430 square-feet to 3,600 square-feet, are available for rent to non-profit dance companies at deeply discounted rates. The Dance Center also offers a wellness center, a performance space and expanded public spaces. It has become a haven, a society of dancing, a community enterprise for people of all ages and abilities.
