Internship Announcement: Dance Omi International Dance Collective

Internship: Dance Omi International Dance Collective
August 6-26
Hudson River Valley

Director Christopher K. Morgan of the Dance Omi International Dance Collective seeks aspiring administrators, production managers and dancers who are interested in delving into the creative process of making works and collaborating with other artists in their internship.

Since 2005, the Dance Omi International Dance Collective has brought together ten accomplished dance artists from around the world for three weeks of creative exchange each summer. Though the program includes informal showings on the Omi campus, the emphasis is not a performance product; rather, a gently facilitated process of experimentation and collaboration.

Must be available August 6th through 26th and hold a valid driver’s license. Interns will be provided with transportation to Omi, all meals, private bedroom with shared bath and a $700 stipend.

Job Responsibilities Include:
-Assisting facility preparations for resident arrival (helping to lay the dance floor, coordinating room charts, set-up, prepping equipment, helping to clean dance facilities, etc.)

-Assisting with administrative tasks (typing and printing schedules, organizing marketing materials, putting together showing programs, etc.)

-Assisting the director and Omi staff with resident pick-up from Hudson train station to Omi
