Focused Responsibilities:Assisting with all production and management of each performance include load-in and load out.

The Technical Production Intern works with the Technical Director, for set-up, break down, and show operating positions in the Patricia N. Nanon Theater (100 seat theatre), and the Martha�s Vineyard Performing Arts Center (400 seat theatre). During the first three weeks of the internship, the Technical Production Intern, alongside the Technical Director, opens and cleans the theatres and studios (with assistance on a rotating schedule from ALL OTHER YARD INTERNS), hanging lights and soft goods and prepping sound systems. For the remainder of the season, general jobs will include hanging and focusing lights, running light or sound boards, maintaining wardrobe, facilitating front of house operations, light carpentry, technology maintenance, picking up rentals and supplies, and overall care and cleanliness of Patricia N. Nanon Theatre.

Candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in technical theatre or production/stage management. They should be detail-oriented, organized, and efficient at multi-tasking. They must be able to lift up to 40lbs, work at heights up to 15 feet, and take r esponsibility for projects both independently and collaboratively. The Technical Production Intern will work alongside guest artists, designers, and directors to bring performances at The Yard and the Martha�s Vineyard Performing Arts Center to life. Having previous experience with projection, audio, lighting, and recording equipment is a plus and willingness to be patient and innovative with what resources are available is essential.

The Technical Production Intern is also responsible for aiding senior staff with daily operations and any general tasks required, not specific to production.
