Seeking Modern Dance Teacher Jersey City Dance Academy


Seeking a fun, energetic, and friendly modern dance teacher for students ages 6 to 18 at our Jersey City location.

Requirements:
1) All levels of modern dance (beginner through advanced). Dance composition, dance pedagogy, movement fundamentals, general education dance classes as assigned.  S/he is also assigned other instructional duties that may be assigned to support JCDA's mission and goals.

2) Establish rapport with students and parents.

3) Punctual and dependable.

4) Available to teach during the week (evenings only) or Saturdays.

5) Background check.


Salary/Wage: Competitive
Status: Part-time
Shift: Evenings, Weekends


Qualifications - We want teachers who are fun, energetic, and friendly. Customer service, people skills and professionalism are a must.  B.F.A in Dance preferred.  Other degrees considered with extensive professional experience.  Prior teaching experience required.  Expert skills in one or more areas: modern, ballet, jazz, musical theater dance, or other specialization desirable.  JCDA embraces diversity and seeks candidates who will create a climate that attracts students of all races, nationalities and genders.
