Global Square Call for Submissions: Under / Construction - Deadline 5/18/14

Calling local and emerging artists across disciplines in music, dance, theatre, film, visual, new media, cross-genre and the literary arts to submit proposals for participation in our 2014 launch season themed UNDER / CONSTRUCTION as we celebrate both the physical build out of our space and the creative development of our 1st official season.

We are seeking new, original and innovative works, inspired by or aligned with the concepts “UNDER” and / or “CONSTRUCTION”. We invite artists to submit performance or installation proposals that reflect, subvert, re-invent, or challenge us with the interplay of these concepts in an explicit or implicit manner through traditional and hybrid modes of performance and creative expression.

Artists may submit for our first official season of programming scheduled to run Sept 19th-Dec 15th 2014, for which we will consider works to take place in either our main stage or gallery style performance hall.

Participating artists will receive rehearsal time, tech-support, and a portion of ticket sales (tbd based on the nature, scale and technical requirements of the work).

- Inaugural Season Proposals for September-December 2014. Deadline for submission: Monday May, 19th 2014

- Accepting proposals across all disciplines for performance/presentation of innovative, high-quality work from local / emerging artists.

- Specify which of our two unique performance spaces the proposed work will utilize - the main stage (130-300 audience capacity) or the lab (85-100 audience capacity)

- Production support will be determined on a project-by-project basis.
