Astoria Fine Arts Dance (AFADance) is proud to announce its Artist in Residency Program. The program is designed for emerging and mid-career artists who are looking to create a home base for their artistic endeavors. Residencies are open to all styles of dance including Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and any other possible category. AFADance will provide choreographers access to free rehearsal space, teaching opportunities and more. 

Choreographers/Companies will receive:

- Free rehearsal space in our studios in Astoria, NY that will allow for creative exploration without the financial pressure.
- Choreographers will receive an opportunity to teach open classes at AFADance, thereby gaining the ability to increase their exposure and build their fan base. 
- Inclusion within a peer group of other AIR recipients, increase networking and knowledge sharing.
- Opportunities for in studio performances, for more exposure and experience presenting and talking about your work.
