REVERBdance 501(c)(3) non profit dance presenting organization seeks skilled grant 

writer.

The mission of REVERBdance is to provide national and international contemporary dance artists an array of performance opportunities from our professionally produced dance festival to in-studio performance showcases. REVERBdance also provides dance artists the chance to receive funding,commissions, as well as granting access to educational workshops and teaching platforms.

Since 2005, REVERBdance has presented the REVERBdance Festival which has taken place at SUNY Purchase College, The Ailey Citigroup Theater, Manhattan Movement and Arts Center and The Baruch Performing Arts Center. The organization has showcased to over 7000 audience members and has partnered with  prestigious institutions such as Purchase College, Steps Beyond and Steps on Broadway NYC. We are proud to say that REVERBdance has produced many esteemed choreographers such as Kyle Abraham, Austin McCormick, Andrea Miller, Nelly Van Bommel, Wendy Osserman, Gregory Dolbashian, and our most recent awardee, Mike Esperanza. Now under the direction of Kate Griffler and along with co-curators Bradley Shelver, Lane Gifford and Sidra Bell, REVERBdance is currently working on new programs such as REVERBdance IMPACT, an educational outreach program as well as expanding our dance festival to neighboring cities. We are headed to Boston for our first REVERBdance Echoes Tour this December 11th and 12th and looking into other cities to bring the festival to in 2015 and beyond. 

Job Description
We are looking to hire a skilled and experienced grant writer to work with REVERBdance’s director, Kate Griffler, to write and submit a specific grant proposal by early November. This position has the potential to grow into a regular freelance grant writing position should this initial proposal go smoothly. 

Applicants must have:
-grant research and writing experience
-a detail oriented and timely work ethic
-familiarity with dance/performing arts non-profits
