Sum Bones Company Audition: July 6th, 2014.
Company: Sum Bones Company
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: Continued Education
Sum Bones Company is looking for one female or male artist to join us for two upcoming works. The audition class will be at Gibney Dance Center 280 (Broadway and Chambers St) from 4:00PM to 6:00PM on July 6th, 2014.
Artistic Directors, Adrian Galvin and Tyler Patterson are interested in building meaningful and long-lasting relationships with dancers in NY who are interested in collaboratively constructed performance works often using visual art as a choreographic device.
We will be looking for someone to come into Adrian's work, "Sinai" that will be premiered at the 92nd St. Y as part of the Doug Varone Choreographic Devices Workshop on September 12th.
This person would also be a part of the co-directed work, "Solar Well" which will premier at the Sum Bones split bill at Triskelion Arts on September 26th and 28th.
Sum Bones is a new company gaining momentum quickly. While we cannot at this time compensate our dancers monetarily, we will provide workshops and master classes taught by guest teachers whom we regard highly in our community. This has included (but is never limited to): Floor Swimming by Daniel Giel, Self-Defense Training by Ex-Marine Dan Kaspar, Handstand Workshop by Kelsey Strauch, and Alexander Technique by Julie Edwards. We are interested and invested in our dancers' continued education.
If you have interest in the company, but cannot commit to the dates listed, please feel free to come to the audition regardless so that we may get aquainted with each other.
As par usual, if you will be coming to this audition please send us a photo, resume, and a short blerb about yourself. (Just a few sentences, and it could be anything) to sumbonescompany@gmail.com. We hope to see you there!
