APPLICATIONS DUE OCTOBER 10TH

The Theater at the 14th Street Y is proud to announce the 14th Street Y Dance Festival and APAP Showcase. We are seeking twelve acclaimed dance companies from New York and the greater US to join us in special weekend of dance. The 14th Street Y Dance Festival & APAP Showcase will expand the reach of the Dance Series by providing dance companies visibility to new audiences, performing arts presenters, and arts service organizations during the annual Association for Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) conference in January 2015.

Twelve companies will be selected to split between Program A, with two performances on Saturday, January 10, 2015; and Program B, with two performances on Sunday, January 11, 2015. All interested companies must submit an online application; which will include video samples of your artistic work, marketing materials for the company, and a $25 application fee. Those selected will have up to 20 minutes split between two 10 minute performances to showcase their choreographic work. In addition, the 14th Street Y will provide the chosen companies with space at the Y’s APAP booth to feature marketing materials and touring information for potential presenters. Photo and video fees may apply if interested in receiving performance footage and video. All costs associated with the performance, booth representation and photo/video coverage are listed below.
