Male Dancer for Opera Philadelphia's production of OSCAR

 

 

Opera Philadelphia is holding an audition for a Male Dancer understudy for the upcoming east coast premiere of the new opera OSCAR based on the trial and imprisonment of Oscar Wilde.    

 

We are seeking a Male Dancer with strong ballet and contemporary dance technique as well as acting ability for principal role in a new opera.     Audition will begin with a warm up and continue with contemporary phrase work.    Choreographer Sean Curran will be in town to conduct the audition.

2nd Floor, Room 203 Philadelphia, PA 19012

at the University of the Arts

 

Rehearsals begin Monday, January 12, 2015 with performances from

February 6 – February 15, 2015.    This position will be on an AGMA contract and

dancer must reside in the Philadelphia Metro area
