Intern with Pushing Progress Contemporary Dance

Who We Are: Pushing Progress Contemporary Dance is a training program and contemporary dance network in New York City. Our training programs are unique in that we focus on training the whole dancer: mind, body, artist. We do this by offering a 2-year training program, our Professional Development Program and our bi-annual intensives. We also support our local contemporary dance community by providing teaching opportunites for them as well as the yearly performance opportunity through our Annual Showcase Series. For more information about pushing progress go here. 

What We Are Looking For: pushing progress is seeking two interns for their 2014-2015 year to support in social media, marketing and general administrative duties. This interniship will be 10-15 hrs per week, most of the work will be self-guided and can be done around your schedule. There will be one 2-hour mandatory meeting weekly with Director Calen Kurka and Co-Director Elani Engelken.

You Are:

-Organized, self-motivated and reliable

-Creative and innovative

-Excellent communicator both written and verbal

-Positive and always ready to change the way something is done

-Have previous experience in administrative work, social media and/or marketing

The Details: This internship would consist of 5-10 hrs of work per week and can be completed around your schedule. We will touch base weekly either by phone or in person to stay connected. This internship is for school credit and/or exchange for classes.
