BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance is looking for an experienced, creative, and adventurous professional dancer for a paid company position, namely a male dancer for an immediate 2015 project. The company is also looking at female dancers for future or potentially our current project. Background should include partnering, improvisation, contemporary, ballet, modern, and release technique. Theater and experimental movement background is an asset. Rehearsals and performances are paid. Commitment will include a one-year contract, with option for renewal. Rehearsals and company class are Monday 9am-12pm and Friday 10am–1pm. We are a company that tours internationally, including recent tours to Scotland, France, Colorado, and throughout New England and New York. Performances and touring are throughout the year (including upcoming April tour to Boston, NYC Season at Danspace Project in May, a summer tour to Massachusetts, East Hampton, and more).

We are looking for someone who can quickly and independently learn existing material, and then be able to navigate and fully engage in our rigorous rehearsal process combining technical and experimental research. We are looking for someone who can jump fully into our creative process with a pro-active, positive community spirit.

Teresa Fellion has been internationally recognized for her choreography, which has been presented at Baryshnikov Arts Center, Jacob’s Pillow, The Public Theater, University of Florida, ENTPE University (Lyon, France), NYU, BAAD!, Naropa University, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater, Bryant Park SummerStage, Booking Dance Festival (Edinburgh, Scotland), Dixon Place, University of Maine, ICA Boston, and on stages with the rock band Phish, among others.
