In need of a regular ballet coach trained in the Vaganova technique to teach weekly-bi-weekly private lessons to professional ballet dancer.

Dancer is a client of ours and is looking to fill in some gaps in her technical training. Lessons can be done in person or remotely either via video exchange or live through Facetime/Skype. Dancer is located in New York City.

Lessons would include a regular ballet class with specific exercises or combinations given to the dancer as “homework” to practice throughout the week in between meetings. Purity and adherence to the Vaganova technique is absolutely essential so the coach's training and experience should reflect that.

Most importantly however, the coach should also serve as an emotional support. There is enough negativity in this industry as it is. Negative reinforcement is not what we are looking for. Tough love is important and we don’t want a “yes man or woman” either. Truth, toughness, support, inspiration and passion are what we are looking for in a coach.  A coach with their own career that they are proud of is essential.

Our dancer is a classically trained ballet dancer who takes her classical/contemporary choreography and performs it in a commercial environment in order to bring greater awareness, appreciation and support of dance, specifically ballet, to the general public.

Pay is negotiable.
