Summation Dance is seeking two (2) interns to assist the company with the 2015 season.  We are a non-profit modern dance company creating exciting, innovative and highly physical work. We have several exciting projects be produced over the next upcoming months including our end of the season performance at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) on Sept 9-12, 2015. 

The internship will last 12 weeks (3 months) and will require about 5-8 hours of work per week doing social media and video editing. The position is unpaid, but you will have the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a dance company, non-profit, take company class and gain useful skills in arts administration! Availability on Friday will be roughly 12-4 pm. 

Duties including, but not limited to:

Social media intern:
- Update social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, Blog, and Instagram.
- Experience or willingness to learn https://postso.com.
- Assist with fundraising/administrative tasks.
- Help raise awareness for any events or updates for the company.
- Assist in various tasks for the season at BAM in the fall. 

Video intern:
- Shoot, edit and manage video production that will help raise awareness for various Summation events and updates.
- Assist with fundraising/administrative tasks.
- Help raise awareness for any events or updates for the company.
- Assist in various tasks for the season at BAM in the fall.
- Familiarity with imovie and/or Final Cut Pro preferred, willingness to learn required!

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or enrolled in college/university.
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with social media, fundraising, communication, or event planning is plus.
- A love for the creative arts process.
