Emerging Choreographers Looking For Well-Trained Male and Female Dancers

We are looking for dancers who are well trained in ballet, contemporary, and/or jazz who are interested in working with up-and-coming choreographers on a regular basis. We will be developing work for upcoming performances in NYC and other US states. Male dancers and dancers of color are strongly encouraged to apply!

Given the nascent stage of this endeavor, dancers are not paid for rehearsals but will be given a stipend for all performances. The co-artistic directors will pay for all studio time.

Dancers that apply to this ad should be comfortable dancing someone else’s work and:

1) Be well-trained in ballet, contemporary, and/or jazz (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!)
2) Be familiar with Hip-hop and African dance forms
3) Be punctual and committed to attending all rehearsals
4) Be professional and a team player
5) Be at least 18 years of age

Please note that ALL dancers who meet the above criteria are absolutely welcome to apply! Male dancers and dancers of color are strongly encouraged to apply!

The audition will take place on June 6th at 12:15pm-2:00pm at Pearl Studios, Studio PH-2 (500 8th Avenue, NY, NY 10018; Penthouse Floor). Please be warm and come ready to dance. There will not be a warm up.
If you are interested please RSVP with headshot, resume, and video links, if available, to psychosomaticdance@yahoo.com

We look forward to seeing you at the audition!
