JP Dance Group’s Dance the World Nutcracker Festival is a curated world dance festival within a jazz Nutcracker. The production celebrates the unique cultures that all call NYC home, promotes diversity in dance, and educates the audience about all different kinds of cultural dance and world music.

We are seeking cultural groups and soloists to perform a celebration dance, 3-12 minutes in length, which is an authentic representation of your culture or country. You will be responsible for providing your music for the piece either via CD recording or live accompaniment.  

Performers will receive:

 Two performance days (one weekend, one weekday)

 50% of the box office proceeds they bring in

Media promotion through the Festival by a professional publicist

 

The Festival will be presented at The Secret Theatre in Queens, NY from Tuesday December 15th- Sunday Decmeber 20th 2015

*NO Application fee or production fee will be charged to the applicants. However, a refundable security deposit of $100 is due upon acceptance into the festival in order to secure performance slot. Security deposit will be refunded within one week of completion of the performances.
