CONDER/dance is pleased to announce our open call for dance work for the ninth annual Breaking Ground festival held in Tempe, Arizona.  

Performance dates are January 29 - 30, 2016.  

Deadline for applications is October 10, 2015.
 

Breaking Ground 2016 is an exhilarating weekend of performances, master classes and activities celebrating some of the country's leading voices in contemporary dance. This event has been held annually since 2008, with well attended performances, master classes and social events at the beautiful Tempe Center for the Arts in Arizona.

There are three categories of submission: Finished Work, New Work, and Dance Film. All submissions are adjudicated for acceptance into Breaking Ground by a panel of four adjudicators. Applicants will be notified of admittance status by November 1, 2015.

Past Breaking Ground artists include: Colleen Thomas, Keith Johnson, Stephanie Liapis, Mitchell Rose, Shaun Boyle, Jennifer Chin, Joshua L. Peugh, Eric Handman, Pamela Pietro, Maria Gillespie, Kristopher Pourzal, Chad Michael Hall, Nadar Rosano and Ashleigh Leite. 

If selected, choreographers will receive $150 performance stipend.
