Outreach, Special Needs and Substitute Teachers

The Steffi Nossen School of Dance in White Plains, NY (10 minute walk from the Metro-North train station) is in immediate need of outreach, special needs, and substitute dance teachers for ages 3-adult through May 2016. Some of the outreach positions require transportation by car.

We are looking for outreach and special needs teachers, along with substitutes for our modern, ballet, jazz, contemprorary, tap and hip-hop classes for children ages 3-18.

The  program includes a curriculum that is developed by the faculty who teach these courses. Teachers would learn the curriculum (since he/she is being hired after the curriculum has been developed), which they would supplement with their own material and exercises.

Moving Wheels & Heels, is an  adaptive dance class program for  children children and adults of all abilites - stand up and sit down.  Participants learn dance technique and experience improvisation and movement activities in a safe, supportive atmosphere to improve range of motion, gain strength and endurance, express their own creativity, and make friends.
