Internship Opportunity with BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance


BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance is hiring interns for Spring and Summer Semesters 2016. Interns must be motivated to work on administrative and/or production tasks, and learn about the operations of a non-profit performing arts organization. Interns will focus on marketing, media, booking, development, design, or education, and will assist with preparations for the company’s 2016 performances and residencies, production of fundraising events, and company operations.
Applicants must have knowledge of and interest in the arts. They must be pro-active, responsible, reliable, organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and able to work independently. Applicants must possess strong communication, writing, computer, and social media skills. Projects will include such tasks as website updates, interpersonal communications, educational program coordination, media editing, targeted development research, assistance with grant applications, etc. Photography, video, graphic design, and database management skills are a plus. Previous experience in arts administration is desirable, but not required. Undergraduate students, graduate students and young arts professionals are encouraged to apply.
Positions begin in February. Flexible hours are scheduled individually, at 10-15 hours per week. Interns are invited to attend free company class offered once per week.
