Erica Essner Performance Co-Op seeks a development intern to research corporate and institutional funding for our Exploration of Choreography Youth Initiative programs. In addition, the intern is responsible for grant writing and cultivating individual donor relationships.

The Erica Essner Performance Co-Op Exploration of Choreography Youth Initiative provides public schools serving predominately low-income grades (PreK-12) students with subsidized 8- week creative dance residencies.

The Ideal candidate will be enrolled in a graduate program in related field of education, development or non-profit administration.

Previous grant-writing experience required.

The Erica Essner Performance Co-Op was founded in 1990 in San Francisco and enjoyed a decade of performing, teaching and touring in the San Francisco Bay Area.  In 2000, Erica Essner moved to New York City and re-established the Company. Notable performances include: the Black Box International Festival Plovdiv, Bulgaria, San Francisco International Arts Festival, Site-Specific work on The High Line, Central Park SummerStage, Jacob’s Pillow Inside/Out, Joyce SoHo, the Rio de Janeiro Choreographic Center, Alaska DanceTheater, and DanceNow Festival Joe’s Pub.
