PR SPECIALIST

 

Revert Talent is a start-up talent management company based in Brooklyn, New York. 

We train and represent emerging art professionals in the tri-state area. We focus on the artist identifying and mastering their own individual craft. Creating work that is challenging and evoking to an universal audience. We place a strong emphasis on experimenting, collaborating, and presenting and provide our artists with a safe space to research & develop something new about their work. 

This fall we will be hosting our first 12-week residency to recruit emerging artists internationally. This residency will be open to movement artists of the intermediate to professional skill level. We have a powerful roster of talented, established teaching artists who will be instructing our classes for the residency. 

We are looking for a Public Relations Specialist to collaborate and assist with the development, coordination, and publication of the residency and company. The candidate will report to the CEO of the company and work closely with our teaching artists and students of the residency.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

- Researching and contacting university performing arts programs for recruitment
- Creating advertisements, press releases, pitches, media kits, etc. 
- Develop and maintaining effective relationships with art directors, producers, and curators
- Develop and disseminate registration for residency to community
- Provide general administrative support 
- Oversee the operation of our programs 
- Graphic design work and performance coordination
- Coordinate conference, trade shows, and press interviews.
- Promote products and services through public relations initiatives

Qualifications and Skills 

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Arts Administration, or similar 
Experience with talent management
Experience with fundraising a huge plus 
Experience in Public Relations, and/or Marketing a plus
Performing arts background strongly recommended
Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
Extremely organized and responsible 
Ability to meet deadlines and perform multi-tasks with a close attention to detail 
Mac OS skills 
Advanced in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and iMovie 
Knowledge of social media including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
An outgoing and professional personality
A good team player but also very self-motivated
