Teaching Artists Wanted for Bronx Summer Program

 

The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance--BAAD! is seeking experienced dance educators for the AATT Academy Summer Adventure, a dance-based arts day camp for children 6-9 years old. The program runs from 9am-2pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays July 12-Aug 11.

We are seeking age-appropriate instruction in the following genres: hip-hop, West African, Latin, East Indian, or traditional dance from other world cultures, gymnastics/tumbling, improv and creative movement, jazz, children's yoga. We are open to considering additional styles. Ability to teach more than one style is a plus. Candidates should ideally be able to commit to at least one class per week for the entire program.

The program is held at the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance--BAAD! 2474 Westchester Avenue in the Bronx. BAAD! is accessible via the 6 train. and the Bx4 Bus to the corner of St. Peter's Ave and Westchester Ave.


Minimum requirements: at least 2 years teaching dance to elementary school aged children 
Bachelor's degree in dance or dance education preferred
