World Dance Theatre, a professional, not-for-profit dance company based in Queens, is seeking dancers for performances and teaching opportunities. World Dance Theatre is dedicated to promoting global communication, understanding, and appreciation through the arts. Ethnic dance experience a plus, but not required. Ideal candidates possess a desire to learn ethnic dance styles; a passion for using the arts to promote peace; a team spirit; and a great attitude. Paid rehearsals, performances, and teaching opportunities. Open audition on May 25 at 7pm at SpaceWorks, 33-02 Skillman Ave, Studio A, Long Island City (enter on 34th St.) Please be prepared to stay for at least an hour . You will be taught several different styles of ethnic dance, so please bring dance sneakers or jazz shoes, as well as tap shoes if you have them.
