Laura Stanczyk Casting (Broadway casting director for Side Show, Follies, After Midnight, etc.) is seeking performers for the AEA national tour of:

DIRTY DANCING

DATE: MONDAY, JULY 11TH

TIME: 10:00AM & 2:00PM

LOCATION: Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10018

10AM- MALE & FEMALE ENSEMBLE DANCERS: Any ethnicity. Must be truly fit and have extensive training in ballet, jazz, latin, and ballroom. PARTNERING EXPERIENCE A MUST. Must look like real people rather than dancers and actors. Men must be able to double as businessmen, waiters, and steamy staff kids. They are not chorus boys. Women must be able to double as wives, waitresses, and steamy staff kids. Principal covers will come out of the ensemble.

WHAT TO PREPARE: Ladies bring character heels and flat dance shoes, men bring character or other dance shoe. All should wear classic form fitting dance attire. Bring hard copy of picture and resume.  Some may be asked to stay and sing, bring 16 bars of sheet music to sing a song in the style of the show, pop music preferred.

2PM- FEMALE SINGERS: Female, African American, to play 20s.  A sexy, charismatic actress with a strong, soaring belt.  She takes us through the shows most iconic musical numbers including “Time of My Life”, “This Magic Moment”, & “Yes”.  Must be very fit & move well. FEATURED/ENSEMBLE

WHAT TO PREPARE: Bring 16 bars of a song in the style of the show, pop music preferred. Bring hard copy of picture and resume.
