The Steffi Nossen School of Dance in White Plains, NY (10 minute walk from the Metro-North train station) is accepting aplications for a Saturday Ballet Teacher for ages 3-8 years old beginning September 2016 through May 2017.

Established by dance legend Steffi Nossen in 1937, the Steffi Nossen School of Dance is Westchester’s premiere dance education destination.  Rated Westchester Magazine's 2013 "Best Unique Dance Class," the faculty transmit the joy and discipline of dance with warmth and enthusiasm to dancers of all ages and abilities. Located in White Plains, NY and Chappaqua, NY, our dance program provides an educationally sound, sequential curriculum and performance opportunities that foster technical and artistic development. We believe that dance is a unique form of education—developing the body, mind, spirit and character. With roots in modern dance, the school offers a full range of dance techniques including jazz, ballet, tap and hip hop. Qualifications:

 - B.A. or M.F.A. in Dance or related field

- At least two years of teaching dance in a studio/conservatory setting

-Experience with children

-Strong classroom management skills

-Passion for dance education, creativity, and early childhood development

-Desire to work in a collaborative teaching environment

-Strong ballet dance training and performance experience
