AUDITION CALL FOR DANCERS
 
Join us on Saturday, July 23rd for a 3-hr Contemporary Dance & Partnering Workshop that will also serve as an audition for ClancyWorks Dance Company.

ClancyWorks is seeking Male & Female Dancers for the 2016-2018 Performance Season 

ClancyWorks Dance Company is an ensemble of contemporary dance artists, based in the greater Washington, DC area and founded in 2001. We present dynamic partnering work that reflects our powerful aesthetic and social vision, to form trust within a framework of diversity. In addition, ClancyWorks commissions works from guest choreographers. The company's outstanding skill lies in its ability to combine physically demanding, powerful movement with the sensitive portrayal of cultural nuances and personal emotions. The Washington Post has described Adrienne Clancy as a "wizard of invention," and her choreography as "a tour de force of unpredictable partnering."

Registration/Self Warm-up: 10:30 am - 11 am 
Audition: 11 am - 2 pm

Walk-ins are welcome, but space is limited.

Workshop Fee: $15
Cash is preferred, though we can accept all major credit & debit cards at the door.

Dancers should have a strong background in contemporary modern dance with an interest in partnering and exploring ideas analytically as well as physically.   To get a sense of our work, please look at: youtube.com/clancyworks or vimeo.com.

>>  Contracts are 18 months, with the possibility for renewal.  
>>  2016-2018 season includes Formal Concerts, Touring Experiences including New York City, Guest Choreographers as well as Arts in Education Residencies and School Assemblies throughout the Greater Washington, DC area. 
>>  Award-winning choreography from Dr. Adrienne Clancy and other guest Choreographers 
>>   Dancers are paid at a competitive wage. Dancers may earn more through teaching in our Arts in Education Programs and receive Teaching Artist professional development and training.
